Search back through alt.autos.saab for "Violent Vibration at 50MPH" - I had just the same problem between 50 and 60. The whole car shook for side to side. If I had the window open, I could see the pane vibrating with the car. My solution was to tighten up all the air hoses, paying particular attention to the large pipe for the air filter box to the turbo. There is a T-junction coming off this pipe, just below where the solenoid valve recirculation hose goes back in. The rubber grommit had degraded, so I secured it with a couple of cable ties. My car was a 1989 900 Turbo S (8 Valve) B201 engine, so I presume your layout will be similar - you might have the flat nose model if yours is a 1985, but I'm sure the engines are essentially the same layout.
