Yes, there is a little switch, about the size of a hearing aid battery, nested in a pocket in the foam of the bottom seat cusion, just under the fabric. The wires that lead to this switch flex over time, especially if you kneel on the seat while dealing with your kids in the back a lot ;-) and you probably just need to re-solder them to get the thing working again. I discovered this in mine when I was rebuilding a failed seat suspension in my Saab. You reach around under the seat first. find and unplug the wire harness, then remove the seat from the car by unscrewing two bolts in front on the floor (the built-in tool kit in the trunk/boot has a bit that fits this just right). Once the seat is out of the car, it is relatively trivial to pry the little clips off the bottom that hold the fabric tight to the seat, and you'll find the sensor and its wiring without trouble. The first time I did the above, it took about 2-3 hours of fumbling, but now I know the drill, bet I could do it in 45 minutes.
