There is also a class which determines how much internal clearance is present in the bearing (how "tight" it is), and this is critical as well. That having been said, a good bearing house will of course know this. I don't know about the current Saab transmissions, but in the 2-stroke/ V4 era, the bearings aren't off-the-shelf. Dave Hinz
