that IS the adjustment. ;-) You can try to adjust it by firmly grasping on the cable near the firewall and tugging. You should feel/hear a series if clicks. You have just 'adjusted' it. If this does not 'fix' it, get a new cable. The finicky self adjust mechanism was a problem in itself. If the snorkel tube is crusty, this added drag on the release bearing can cause the clutch pedal to be excessively hard to depress and can fool the self adjust mechanism. When you do replace the clutch, take care to inspect this very carefully and lubricate this interface where the release bearing slides.
