Hi, i find even big saabs much easier to get under control again, even if you do stupid things like turning way too fast or something. in driving school i drove a 325 and it handled good, has a direct feel to the road, but its kinda noisy too. i guess they are also somewhat expensive over there. and the 325 has not at all the same usable power as a (chipped) 2.0 turbo engine. i call what bmw¥s have "push-it-hp" (quetsch ps in german ;) cos you really gotta rev up your engine to get the advertised power.almost nothing beats low to mid-range torque and power of a turbo engine. even with the new ASC stuff in the bmw¥s you gotta be real careful driving in snow. dunno if you get snow where you live tho, so that probably doesnt matter. the bmw also needs some more gas than the saab, and you get the snobby poser racer boy image and expensive, unfriendly service (atleast here). the audi on the other hand is a very good car in my opinion. i guess you are talking about the audi 4 quattro ?. well i know friends who drive audis as old as my saab and they do very well, no real big repairs, just usual service, they are reliable cars. the awd WILL make some more noise tho and suck a little bit more gas. audi/vw has nice turbo engines too and the V6 is powerful, good serviceable (unlike GM V6) and doesnt take too much gas. i just prefer a more unique car, like my saab. the saab will handle as good as the audi.... without AWD. you can get a hell of a deal on a previous model year 9-5 or on a 3-year lease return. audis are kinda expensive, you have to compare 9-5 <--> A6 and 9-3 <--> A4 , dont forget that. i guess thats all as i know so far. id never buy a new car tho, thats something for new-year-model-fetish people :) i rather save a hell lot of money bye simon putz
