HELP No, but that rate is much too high. I would go back to the dealer, or else check that someone is not systematically milking your fuel tank. My 1998 9-5 SE gives between 10 to 11 L/100km in the city (Sydney Australia), and 7 to 8 L/100km on long trips in the country. I've just come back from a 2500km trip to Queensland and averaged 7.6 over that distance. On one 200km trip from Goulburn to Sydney I averaged 6.7 at 110kmph, but that was mostly downhill on a motorway. Fuel consumption does depends a lot on how you drive. If your accelerator is only a two position switch (on or off) and you have a heavy foot on the brakes too, then your fuel consumption can skyrocket. -- Regards, Peter Wilkins
