Subject: Re: Did Saab Make a16V B201 Turbo Engines? [WAS:PCV Valve on a 89 900 T16]

the short answer is no as there is no such engine as a B201 16V. B201 is 'Saab code' for 8V (2.0L, 1 (cam) shaft), B202 is 16V (2.0L, 2 shafts). In the US, 8VT was up to 84. 85-93 are all 16VT. The 8V NA (CIS) was up to '88 in the base model. 89 + base model got 16V LH injected engines. The S engine was 8V NA (CIS) to 85 and 86+ got the 16V NA engine. IN '91 we got the B212 (2.1L 2 shaft) 16V engine in the S and maybe even in the base, but I am not sure. All 2.1L in the US are LH injected. All 16V engines in the US are LH injected. I know in EUR, the 8VT (CIS) was sold longer but am unsure of the dates and models. You even got the Saab 90 that we never saw here. As a comparison of codes, the B234 in the 9k was 2.3L 4 shafts (2 cam and 2 balance!)
