Hi, very similar issue... I am now running my second SAAB 93 2.2 TiD, when the oil is getting past halfway through the oil change (my old 115bhp was ~4500 , 125bhp is ~6000) I generally change the oil for Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel (6 litres!). After the change I do notice less turbo lag and better fuel economy. After my last service the SID MPG changed from 43mpg to 48mpg for the same regular route, same driver, just clean oil and filters! Maybe the quality/viscosity of the oil effects petrol turbo lag too.
