Subject: 85 vs 86 900T (USA)?

I'm looking to get back into a 5 spd 900 turbo 3dr hatch - briefly had a 86 900T ~10 years ago (sold due to frequent relocations to remote areas). Have recently located a nice 85 900T. What differences were there between the model years (USA)? I've seen a couple of refs that the 86 has drilled front brake rotors, while the 85's are solid. Is there a difference in the trannies (I recall my 86 shifting into 1st easier vs a friend's 85 - and thought I read something about an minor improvement/change)? Engine valves? Intercoolers? Thank you, Lance
