And cars are about passion and strong opinion. But turn it an engineering issue, and *any* car from the late 90s kicks the crap out of an 80s/early90s design. Especially the Saabs from the period, which had slid quite a but from the industry standard. Ergo the GM takeover. I *know* the 9-3 I have right now is better build than any 900 - I did look into buying a 900 convertible twice, and didn't go through with it due to the enormous flex and the concert in the interior... It is simply ridiculous to claim older 900 convertibles were built better than today's 9-3. I do not mind the nostalgia that permeates this forum at times. But the irrational dismissal of everything recent is extreme and silly. ...pablo
