In article <arlcgb$4a1$1nopsam5.svr.pol.co.uk>, nospamnopsamom says... > Thanks Paul-I'll let you know how I progress. > ATB-DG. > for what it's worth, I had a simialr problem on my Skoda Favorit, and the sender is in about the same position, and same description. Initially light came on flickering, even though there was enough oil in. Topped oil upto the max level, and still flickered, did an oil and filter change, actually came on fully, instead of flickering. Asked for advice on a couple of boards, newsgroups, and at the dealer that does all my bigger repairs. Everybody said what I thought, that the mains had gone/where going, or the oil pressure relief valve (in the pump, hidden just above the sump internally) was blocked/knackered), but the dealer said try a new sender 3.50GBP first, before he looked at it. That was all it was. Old one was sludged up to hell. No probs since. -- Carl Robson http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
