The sender is directly above the oil filter. You'll find a spade terminal connected to a wire. Replacements are a matter of small change. If you have accessory gauges, such as oil pressure, you'll find the dashboard sender is slightly obscured by a cylindrical drum around 3cm in diameter. Remove this first to get at the pressure sender for the dash light. You say you are not losing oil - this is good. If the area above the oil filter has fresh oil present, the sender/switch needs replacing. It doesn't lose much, but it is clearly visible. Simply disassembling, cleaning and reassembling might be enough to get you through the journey at the weekend if you cannot find a replacement immediately. A little smear of clean oil on the thread is preferable to thread grease. The procedure in the Haynes/Chiltons is: 1. Locate the switch atop the oil filter on the LHS of the cylinder block. 2. Disconnect the wiring. 3. Unscrew the switch, having prepared for a slight oil loss, and plug the hole to prevent entry of dust. 4. Clean up the existing unit, or with a replacement, reverse the procedure and ensure that it is tightened securely. 5. Start the engine and check for oil leaks. All that said, if the electrical contact is dirty your problem might just be bad connections. A really good clean and fine filing on the spade contact will help immeasurably and then cover the connection with electrical tape once reconnected.
