I have been following this thread since the original post. Unfortunately I have not been able to go back and find the original WSJ article to read what it said in total. However, here is a small article from Automotive News 10/21 that may shed some light: "SAAB IN THE FOLD ’Äî General Motors is likely to integrate Saab more closely into its European operations, GM Vice Chairman John Devine said last week. Saying that Saab has had ’Äúa tough year’Äù as it geared up for sales of the new 9-3, Devine said Saab has not been closely aligned with GM. ’ÄúIt has been more of a stand-alone, frankly, and that's something that we're looking at,’Äù Devine said. ’ÄúGoing forward, we think it's important to bring it closer to GM Europe.’Äù Ted Harris Resource Strategy Henniker, New Hampshire
