Since they're not doing that, one must assume they're thinking a bit more strategically. Since anyone with some strategic vision wil see why Saab is key to GM -luxury brands are the only ones that have become more profitable over the last years- it doesn't make a lot of sense to think GM is about to bury it. I think the overall balance of GM's ownership of Saab is positive. It's a learning experience for both sides, but *both* need each other to fulfill their mission: in GM's case, it most likely is "maximize mid-term earnings per share", as every MBA book states, in Saab's case it hopefully is to continue to bring out a unique -and profitable- value proposition ot the market. The alignment of Opel and Saab might be a very good thing, especially now that Opel is starting the up and to the right trend. ...pablo
