Subject: Normal timing chain noise?

One of those subjective "Noise/sounds like" Q's again ;-) Just wondering what a normal/healthy timing sounds like, vs one that's in need of attn: either tensioning; tensioner, guide, or chain replacement Usual noise from my c900 timing chain: sounds like a moderately muted version of medium-hard plastic BBs being air-shot through a curled tube. Can only hear it from the engine bay, and not from the cockpit. I expect it to make some noise! and it is distinct from the initial cold-start mild dieselish (lifter?) noise B212 120K miles Thank you, Lance
