Greetings all, New to this NG, just gave it a browse and it looks to be a good resource for shared information. Hopefully I can contribute something positive in the future. I owned a '76 99 EMS for a few years, best car I ever owned. For some reason I left the fold with intentions of returning to Saabs but haven't got around to it..... until now. I was recently the high bidder on a '97 900 SE Turbo Convertible on eBay.... if the car pans out it looks like a steal. Just wondering what kind of known issues there may be with this model and vintage and if there's anything in particular I need to look at with a jaundiced eye? Kinda like to find things out *before* I fork over the loot, although at the price I'll be paying I can afford to put a few bucks into it if necessary. The vehicle was acquired by the dealer at auction..... it was off-lease after two 3-year stints. Clean title and the mileage and registration history is consistent. There's no maintenance records available although the dealer appears to have gone over the car with a fine-tooth comb and documented the condition of everything that's inspectable without tearing the car apart. Everything electrical is reported to work and the vehicle is reported to be in pristine condition. Appreciate any thoughts or pointers. TL <----- about-to-be ragtop guy
