I used the older Pirelli style, the Winter 190s which were great in the snow, but slipped a bit on plain wet roads. I currently use the Michelin Arctic Alpin for similar conditions to yours. We get more wet roads, ice, and packed snow than deep dry powdery snow. The Arctic Alpins are great on wet roads but I expect to get only four year out of them as winter tires.
