Some hard facts would be > appreciated. He's kind of right - if you had a v8 made to the same specs as the Saab straight 4, it would last longer than the 4, for the reasons sited. However, most engines aren't made to those specs, which include: *Good oil passage design << very important factor *5 crank bearings, not 3 like some engines *Blocks made of high carbon cast steel, and very thick with it -- Grunff
