The symptoms you describe are consistant with un-measured air getting into the engine, throwing the mix off, and making it run like crap. To further go way down the path of speculation, I'll bet you a pint that it's the hose right on the top (outlet) of the cold side of the turbo. I'll check back later this evening - morning your time.
