Probably similar NOx's, CO2 of course will be very similar to a 4-stroke since they're both burning hydrocarbons. You'll have more particulates (which is what's visible...), but at a 1 quart per 8 gallons mixture, it'll be making a lot less than say a Diesel engine. Perhaps a search for "shrike" and "Saab" might get you info on the last 2-stroke engines shipped by Saab - they passed whichever emissions laws at the time by evading them - reduced displacement just below (whatever number) so they didn't apply. Maybe an article mentioning those would give the figures you're looking for. From a more practical perspective - please don't buy a stroker and then screw around with the exhaust *or* carburation, unless you know exactly what you're doing. Melted pistons and a variety of ugly things could happen. From a purely "let's keep a sense of perspective" approach, it'll probably pollute less than (insert typical person's wasteful energy use here). Dave Hinz
