I thought it was a curse on the '85 models only :) My '85 900i has been playing up with what feels like bad compression at low revs and another poster around Christmas had the same issue with his '85 900i. All my electrics are fine and no moisture is present across the sparks or in the dizzy cap. I found that from a cold start, my idle was higher than usual before the problem becomes apparent. I did find that running a higher octane petrol helped me. I usually run 95 RON (normal unleaded for the UK), but running 98 RON (UK super unleaded) has eased the situation. My wife reports that it's still running crap though until it's got through the warm-up stage :( Anyone else got thoughs? Paul 1985 900i 16V 1989 900 Turbo S http://pjgh.go.dyndns.org/saab/index.html
