It doesn't make too much difference in normal driving - the tires aren't going to explode on you or anything... ;-P (I shouldn't say never - in the very early days of steel radials, they did have problems with the belts taking a set turning one way - and the tire literally disintegrating if you rotated the tires and reversed their rotation. But that was solved long ago.) But if the tires have a directional tread pattern and are running backwards from the design direction, you aren't going to get as much tread life, or the ultimate rain/snow traction. Go back to the tire shop and have them flip them around - or get out the floor jack and star wrench again.... :-) Especially with 'rain tires' like the Aquatred, where the channels are shaped for optimum water removal through the channels at high speeds to avoid aquaplaning - when they're running in reverse it's kind of like pumping the water uphill rather than letting it flow downhill - the backwards channels are making the water turn and exit forward, rather than squirting out backwards and to the sides as the design intends. The water still squirts out and away, but it takes a little longer. --<< Bruce >>-- -- Bruce L.
