Bharath, thanks for your reply. I see, some things change and some don't. My brake discs may not have been that soft but the warped like hell. Whenever I'd have to brake abruptly from high speed (like in Germany from 180 km/h to zero in 10 sec.) I'd get really horrible thunder-like noise from my brakes and a serious vibration in the steering wheel. My wheels were balanced 100% - high precission. I had id checked several times. Any subsequent, even a slight touvh of the brake pedal within a few minutes after such braking would still produse that nose. 10-15 minutes later (the brake discs would cool down enough?) it would return to normal... Except... I had to have the bearings in the front wheels replaced several times. This car was a rip off. The spares for it were twice the price of those for a VW or Audi. According to Auto-Moto-Sport (German edition) the 9000 was the most expensive car in its class (BMW, Audi, Volvo, Merc.) to service.
