Maybe if you or your mechanic took everything apart and applied lots of grease, it would help, to displace the water. Or maybe there is a leak of water somewhere, getting into the parking brake cable or caliper. Or maybe you need a caliper rebuilt or replaced. 35 mpg, wow, that's impressive. Around town, I average about 22 mpg with each fillup. If I mix in highway driving, it goes up to 25 or 26. This is in a 1995 9000CS. It has the light pressure turbo (LPT). I had a 1987 9000S, which had no turbo, and it got the same mileage as this car, or slightly worse. Is that a typo or did you really have a 1939 Cadillac? Where are you now? I'm in NJ, as you know. -- Tom Reingold Noo Joizy
