Salutations: Putting aside the guff about how crap they are to maintain (not true BTW - just have to be able to live with remanufactured or used parts and a non dealer wrench). You can and should older SAAB for your young family as they are remarkably inexpensive on the used market because of dealer service pricing and they are extra-ordinarily safe in accidents and accident avoidance (which is the real key to the whole problem anyway).. However, please note that I agree that shopping around for one that hasn't been already been butchered is important.. The lack of a third 3 point seat belt should not concern you for several years as the 9000 (at least the 4 door CD sedan) has an excellent child seat hook and loop system built into it with the lab belt.. I do not if the sportier hatch model 9000 is the same.. Anyway - you will probably have the new arrival in the child seat for a couple of years - and then in a proper booster seat for a few years more and three point is not always considered a good thing in an accident with an upright child seat as it can hurt the little one's neck and face if they get under it the wrong way or it comes out of the harness clips in the child seat.. Personally - I would like to have some of the features in some of the new infant and booster seats for myself! My youngest had her own pair of cup holders, a storage compartment for the art work - another removable container for loose treats and really solid neck, lumbar, body support which would be the envy of Riccaro!.. My two cents.. Just keep the littles out of the front seat if you have airbags - I went for a good rust free 1989 9000 CD as it doesn't have them.. -- J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ all tunes - no cookies no subscription no weather no ads no news no phone in - RealAudio 8+ Required - all the Time Radio Free Dexterdyne Top Tune o'be-do-da-day Anne Margret - Al Hirt - Baby It's Cold Outside http://www.dexterdyne.org/888/099.RAM Knud Sch¯ler wrote: > > Hi > > Can anyone tell me if there is Saab 9000 models with 3 three point > safety belts on back seat?
