Subject: Re: bypass valve for saab 900LPT

If your car does have an air mass meter (I know nothing about Saabs), you may find that your car will stall when you let off the accelerator, as the computer is expecting a big rush of air from the turbo that it won't get anymore, and in turn, screws up the fuel mixture causing your engine to stall. I have seen this happen on a few cars. If you have a car like mine with a MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor, you needn't worry, as it is measured further down the inlet chain, and it won't stall if you vent to atmosphere. Atlantis.
