The fuel costs are lower (since it doesn't require high octane). The insurance costs are much lower. The purchase cost was lower. And I probably would have driven badly with something so high powered. I test drove a 1997 9000CSE and I felt pretty dangerous in it. Too much car for me. The 9000CS, at 170 horsepower (as rated in the US) is plenty powerful for me. And I remember my 1986 900T. When I was tired and driving home from work, the turbo boost and whine would sometimes make me car sick in my own car! -- Tom Reingold Noo Joizy
