Subject: Fingers crossed I might have found a beauty.

Looking on a car ads search site I was digging arround to see if there was any Saab 900's listed locally. In a local search I came up one or too, but the closest was 100 mile away. I decided to do a national search, not using my postcode. On the 3rd page of results, there was one from very near me (same town, but about 10 minutes by car). Description is 1984 SAAB 900T Aero silver, rare maroon interior, Tax March 03, MOT Jan 03, Reluctant sale, 375ono I used UK to reverse find the address from the phone number, and it is indeed justround the corner, so I drove past tonight. Body looks immaculate from a couple of slow passes. Full aero kit, 3 spokes, whaletail, 3 door. Phoned this evening, it is still for sale. Reason that the MOT is running out is because it was going to be a second car when he chnaged jobs (Saab was on company allowance), because he bought something smaller, but found the Saab insurance to be too pricey to insure without no claims (now on the other car) and his help from work. Mileage 118k, had new clutch about 5 months ago, because he was advised to while having a seal replaced "Up front". With the MOT going out this month, I'm very tempted to offer home an option. I'll pay for the MOT, if it passes, or fails on Minor stuff, I buy at the asking. If it fails on something huge I'll let it go. Either way, I've paid for the MOT, and he has something to show other potential buyers what it needs. -- Carl Robson
