I converted an Opel to use dual fuel some years ago. A very simple installation that I did myself. LPG has effective octane of 125 but lower heat of combustion. The real disadvantage is that the fuel has a vapor pressure of 150 psi at 70 deg.fah. .....very dangerous in a accident of course. The fuel is also smelly due to added odor for detection of leaks.
