I guess that most electricals are sourced from third party manufacturers; you can even find things like alternators of different origin in the exact same car model. I admit that I've had the usual earthing problem in my trusty 9000, the headlight would glow magically when applying the brake pedal, but this problem was easily fixed. I have also changed the DI, but this is really a thermal problem. Considering that the car is nearly 10 years old, I'm impressed that all the computerized engine management still works flawlessly. Try putting your computer out in the garden for a while and see if it works after a few days. Johannes
