I can't speak about how easy it is to change the brake pads on your car, but I do feel that $85 an hour is too high. Where are you? In NJ, good mechanics charge $60 to $70 an hour. I go to an independent shop with two brothers who know everything about Saabs, as they are their specialty. I believe they charge $60 an hour.
