Well, I live in Boston and I own both cars -- I drive an A6 2.7T (quattro) and my wife drives a Saab 9-5 (front wheel drive). Personally, I'm probably not going to buy either of them again -- not because of the cars (the Audi in particular is a blast to drive), but because of the dealers. We have yet to find either an Audi or a Saab dealer with a service department that's better than incompetent. Having said that, I find that the Audi handles better than the Saab in snow with all-weather tires on both. The Saab couldn't even make it up our driveway (a 30 degree grade) ig there was any snow or slush at all on the ground. But with a set of Blizzaks on the Saab it's a different story entirely -- the Saab with good snow tires handles like a dream and climbs up the drive easily. Next year I'll put snows on the Audi as well and see how the two of them compare with equivalent tires.
