I'm thinking that the pipe missing is the one from the high pressure 
side of the TB to the dump valve.

I guess it is time to find a good alloy piston one.

While I think about it. If the main line to dump valve is missing, then 
equally the vacuum line could be badly plugged, and leaking, hence the 
base boost I'm getting now.
