There are several where I live and you pull your starter or alternator or 'what-have-you', and drop it off. They will rebuild it within a day or two, sometimes while you wait!!! (If it's just brushes or something.) I've done this lots of times with some of my older vehicles and it saves a ton of $$$! Example: Alternator - MSRP $129 New $ 79 Rebuilt at parts store $ 49 Rebuilt at above shop $ 29 And they give a warrenty to boot! (Usually 6 months to a year, but I've never had to go back yet, so I consider a pretty good value!) Just a thought. (And of course, this would be the motor only. Mechanisms....would be another story.) Brandon
