Subject: My 900 (Behemoth) wants to be a Duck

Sounds something like a duck call, coming through the bonnet vent on the right hand side of the hood/bonnet (Also sounds slightly when revving and releasing the throttle. Cruise control doesn't work, but Boost guage, and the heater controls selector does. Today, the first time since I've noticed it when I've had time during lunch, I lifted the bonnet, fired Old Behemoth up, and listened to where it was coming from. The sound is coming from a white plastic drum/canister directly below the right hand side A pillar, the drum (with ridged rings round it)has two Vacuum hoses one going in on a nipple, the other connecting to what looks like a cap. What is the drum for? Is it likely to be the drum that has split, or the hoses perished? They seem very soft and floppy, rather than hardened and perished? -- Carl Robson The poster formally known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
