Thanks to all for the excellent information/opinions. I happen to own a 1984 Renault Turbo Fuego (not yet back on road) so am no stranger sometimes quirky cars that when running well are quite fantastic. In this case I was considering a replacement for my wifes aging Chevrolet Estate Wagon and had always been under the impression SAAB's were unique looking but rock rock solid. I was really impressed with this car but I will have to give it some careful thought and will mention my concerns to the dealer. The dealer seems to "focus" on SAAB's and appears to be well known in the SAAB community here in the Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada.
