In article <>, says... > Whoa, your colleagues must've hated you when you had the Skoda :) > They really hated it when I had both Skodas. Took the piss relentlessly. Constantley making Lada references forgetting what I drove. They still joke about the Saab can't be upto much because of what it cost, and me deciding to invest a couple of hundred into from the start to get it back to right. They forget that my cars First 95, needed a couple of hundred. Second 80 needed about 350 spending third 325 probably will need about 350 ish by the time I'm finished. But First car only let me down once, when it's 13 year old battery let me down one winters night. Quick push start and it got me home to change the battery. Second car let me down once, would idle OK, but would rev until about 3k revs, then was fine. Got part way home. Called AA, dirt in the carb. didn't have tools with me, as I had only bought car week before. Put a new battery in as a matter of course. Never failed me. I buy unpopular cheap cars, and get the best from them. Of course sometimes they are unpopular and bloody quick. -- Carl Robson The poster formally known as Skodapilot.
