I have been a happy owner of two Saabs (83 900T and an 86 9000T). I still drive the 86 9000 to work everyday, but at 190,000 miles it is getting a bit long in the tooth. An coworker is about to sell his 1998 9000 CSE to buy a new Saab. The car has 76,000 miles and looks very well cared for. I have a -very- good Saab mechanic who can look at the car, but I have two questions: 1. Anyone have advice about this particular year/model? Any especially good/bad things? Any specific mechanical issues to think about? 2. Anyone have advice on where to get an aftermarket warrantee for this car? I've never tried to do that on a car with this high mileage, but wonder if anyone knows sources? Advice on this much appreciated. My two previous Saabs were purchased with ~65,000 miles on them and both of them lasted to almost 200,000 miles without much grief. The 98 has slightly higher mileage than I would like, but looks very well maintained. -----------== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----= Over 100,000 Newsgroups - Unlimited Fast Downloads - 19 Servers =-----
