I don't expect > do as well as our Subaru Outback (which would be come my wife's > car) does in snow, but I'd like it to be decent. speaking from first-hand knowledge (driving a saab in colorado with snow tires), i think you'll find that the car does just fine in the snow. yeah, it won't feel as solid as a car with AWD, but it'll get around just fine. my recommendation is to get nokian snow tires. for the front range area, where snow is really only an issue occasionally, i recommend the NRV units (we have the previous-generation NRWs on two cars and are pretty happy with them). for more serious snow conditions, get the hakka Qs or hakka 1s. the biggest thing you should be concerned about when buying your new saab is which dealer to buy from and, more importantly, which dealer you want to have doing service -- assuming you have a choice of dealerships in your immediate vicinity, that is. kirk (note trivial anti-spam hack)
