Hope this helps Sean (or is it Kerri?), I assume that is because your Explorer has either 2WD or 4WD, either of which is a RWD until you engage the front wheels. My Exploder XLT with AWD is far better in the snow than any FWD only car I have ever driven. Fred (in NH)
