Is there a trick to this I don't know > about? There's a little black spring-steel part, which engages the notches in the upright bars on the headrest. I had to replace them on my 900 for the same reason. Cheap part, quick fix, critical purpose. Those keep your head from snapping backwards in a rear-end collision, so it's worth the 20 bucks or so to fix both sides. I don't remember the actual procedure for replacing them, which probably means it was pretty trivial and unmemorable. If your dealer gives you that blank look when you ask for the parts, let me know and I can look up the part number for you. Dave Hinz
