Oh the vanity of it - I thought you meant me ;-) I think my wife is pretty _and_ the best. <snip> > > > > > > (my other choices are a 9-3 > > > > SE, 9000 Aero or maybe a 9-5 something). > > > > > > Which do you like driving the best? > > > > The 9k Aero or 9-5 Vector, but I hanker after the c900 > > (or something like it - if there is such a thing) for the way > > it compliments the comfortable, slightly detached character > > of the 9000, is great fun to drive, gives loads of feedback > > and yet is still ridiculously practical. > > I'd get the Aero. Yeah, but our 9000 is heading that way - ECU upgrade, suspension partly done with more in the next few weeks. Will need to do something with the exhaust soon - been welded together a bit now, but I don't want anything too obvious as the car looks standard, albeit a little lower and there's no need for it to draw attention to itself. All these things add to the insurance premium too. > > > > A 9-3 SE would be a compromise, its (a little) better than > > the gm900, more acceptable but... I definitely don't like the full throttle hang on and hope feeling and tendency to tramline that his car has. I think that may be due to the well documented movement in the steering rack / bulkhead that occurs. The gm900 has the same issues and IMO gives less direct feedback and a softer ride. > > > > The 9-3 SS is a good car, but we're not able to buy a new > > car. The 9-3 Sport Sedan looks a bit like a mini 9-5. Handles well, though perhaps a little busy with the sports suspension. The 175bhp Vector that I drove didn't seem to have the same punch to it as our 9000, but was still quick. <snip> > > > Take it from the practical side, do some research on the crash tests of > > > each, resale value, taxes, insurance. > > > > > > See which one comes up with the most positives. > > > > We've been doing that - trouble is we score differently ;-) > > How can facts score differently? > You've got to use a reliable source!
