From what I've read, the headlight wiper motors are very expensive, something to the tune of $200 to $300 (U.S.) each! Do the wipers work at all? Do they both exhibit the same symptoms? I drive a 1995 900S with 90,000 miles that has been through eight New England winters and have not had any problems with the headlight wipers. Sometimes they do not "park" correctly after use, but this I believe is "normal" for these units. They usually will park correctly on the next usage. Access to the wiper motors is straight-forward; just pop out the grille, then remove the side-corner light and then the headlight. > I've had my car for about a year now, i love it! turbo's great , not the > lag, but i wish the car was a little more responsive(steering and > suspension) What can i do about stiffening a bit the suspension, what > available out there(aftermarket not oem)Any good mechanic in Montreal area. > > > I installed Koni Gas-Adjust shocks all-around on my 1995 900S. I'm very happy with them. You can easily adjust the firmness of the shocks in just a couple of minutes anytime you want. I can't really say that they make the car significantly more responsive, though. The ride is firmer, the ride motions are more controlled, and the car is much less prone to the front suspension bottoming (as in running out of travel) on rough roads. (not too hard to find around here after this winter). They weren't real cheap though; around $600 for all four, from the Tire Rack. http://www.tirerack.com/ I believe they also sell springs for your car, but if I recall they reduced ride-height (and therefore ground clearance) by an inch or more, and I wasn't willing to risk trashing my undercarriage. It seems to me to get better response we need to reduce body roll, which usually means larger diameter anti-sway bars with stiffer bushings. I don't think that there is too much available for aftermarket suspension components for the NG900 series. If anyone finds a source, please post.
