Subject: Re: weird oil filter in my 900 classic "Frantz?"

When I first bought my Saab, one of the engineers asked me about the oil filter. I thought it was an odd question, but he explained that he had a friend who owned a Saab that used rolls of toilet paper as the oil filter media. Then he started talking about how many microns a particle can be before it passes through layers of toilet paper. I thought he was kidding, but apparently there are people that still think this is a good idea. I wonder if the standards for judging quality toilet paper are the same in this application as it is for its intended purpose. Is a fresh scent important?
