Rather than make any significant engine upgrades (usually a K&N 57i is the limit of their imagination), they prefer to plaster all manner of gadgets, trinkets and crap to the outside of their cars. Think weird shaped body kits, oversized spoilers that look big enough to launch the car into outer-space, etc. They're usually made out of Meccano & Plasticine and stuck on with super-glue.
