It usually settles in a place between, so it is no big deal. Most woman will adjust them like that for comfort because it does feel uncomfortable otherwise. I sat in a race car that had them, tried it on and it was comfortable to me. Wow - I'm just remembering riding in back of the old station wagon with the seats down and playing as a child (which wasn't THAT long ago) when we drove cross country.
