I'm (still) pondering the purchase of a Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon; it's definitely a kick, especially with the 5-speed trannsmission. My concern, however, has to do with the high-pressure turbo 2.3 l engine. How long has Saab been making/using this engine? Does anyone know what the reliability and longevity of this engine is? Also, I've heard that it's actually an Opel engine - can anyone confirm this? Was this a recent change? Many car manufacturers intentionally use low-pressure turbo systems, as that (supposedly) allows for longer engine life. Thus my paranoia ... Thanks for any insights!
