It wasn't a Crown Victoria, but it WAS a Mercury Grand Marquis (the twin to the Crown Vic). By the way, I had owned the Grand Marquis for seven years, and was a damned fine car that gave me very little trouble. I bought the Miata a few years before I traded the Grand Marquis in for the Saab. It was my (belated) mid-life crisis.
