Skoda had a similar system in the serial numbers as to where they where made. > I'm picking up my beast with the new "go faster phoosh noise" tomorrow - and > some other "enhancements" :)) There was a lovely metallic grey '84 900 T16 > (with a whale tail) in the garage when I arrived. Got an odd look from a Siera Cosworth (genuine) driver the other day, pulling off a rounabout in second, see the Cossie coming toward me, decide to see how quick I can hit 30, turbo whistles up, and as I shift up the recirc whistles it away, Cossie driver looks over, looks confused, frowns, carries on driving away, as I whistle up in 3rd. Nice to find a place like that. Wheelton garage where I got my window quadrant kit was a little like that, a couple in for repair, and two or 3 spares cars gradually getting stripped. All classic 900s of various type, plus one 9k, and a 9-3, then the upstairs "loft" full of dismantled parts engines/boxes, panels, shift components, interiors, all in an organised chaos floor and rack system. -- The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
