Was Finland temporarily annexed to Sweden for the years that the 900 cabrio was made? ;-) Isn't the new cabrio made outside of Scandinavia? IIRC, Germany? I personally think it is a cool idea, if they can make the 9-2 distinctive enough, and don't run into cooperation problems with Fuji Heavy Industries. I have been waiting for GM to include Subaru in their GM employee discount program because I was considering an Impreza or WRX. Now I might be able to do an end-run and get the same car at a discount under the Saab brand. I am looking forward to it. I didn't see anything about one important question regarding the 9-2: Will the ignition switch be on the steering column, or on the floor? ;-) Walt Kienzle 1991 9000T <wysiwyg.docnopsamspring.com> wrote in message news:3E9D8678.764D1D38nopsamspring.com... > personal opinion, for what it's worth. > > if it ain't made in sweden it ain't a saab. > > 82-900 > 82-900 > 83-900 > 85-900 > 85-900 > 85-900 > 87-9000T > 87-9000T > 88-9000T > yep that's a total of 9 > all used, all bought for a song > close to 800k miles put on them by me, not to mention that they all had > over 100k when I bought them. > buy them cheap, drive them hard and part them out to support the running > when they break. > >
